Luke Miller was born and raised outside of Charleston, West Virginia. He graduated first in his class from Winfield High School, rated the “Best Overall School” in West Virginia by Business Week Magazine. Luke excelled as a student, earning national accolades such as National Merit Finalist and National AP Scholar. He also scored in the 99th percentile on both the ACT and SAT.
Luke’s success opened up many doors for college. Every university he applied to accepted him, including MIT, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Chicago, and the United States Military Academy among others. Luke decided to attend the University of Minnesota on a full-ride scholarship.
Luke again excelled at the University of Minnesota where he studied communications and business management. He graduated from the University Honors Program summa cum laude. During his time as a student, Luke worked as a teaching assistant for multiple years. It was during this time he developed a newfound passion for teaching and education.
After college, Luke continued to work with students in test prep and tutoring. Luke has worked for multiple years with both Breakaway Test Prep and Jamie Dickenson, LLC, the premier test prep providers in Minnesota and West Virginia respectively. Luke has worked with hundreds of students and considers it a privilege to serve each individual who chooses to work with him.
Luke has two master’s degrees, including one from Samford University right here in Birmingham. In addition to running Magic City Test Prep, he teaches ACT and Career Prep at a top private school in the area. Luke loves football, traveling, and good food.
